Allen Messer
Allen Messer, CIC, CPCU graduated from the University of Evansville, Evansville, Indiana, and immediately began his insurance career. His more than 50 years of insurance experience includes claims, marketing, underwriting, management, direct sales as an independent insurance agent, and consultant.
Allen is currently the owner of Insurance Concepts and Services, an organization that focuses on strategic planning/execution for insurance companies and insurance agencies, insurance policy writing for insurance companies, insurance training and education for all involved in the industry, insurance agency coverage audits, as well as consulting with attorneys.
Prior to forming this organization, Allen spent more than twelve years as Director/Chief Operations Officer/Chief Executive Officer of Illinois Casualty Company (a company specializing in insurance protection for the food and beverage industry) with responsibilities in all areas of operations and fifteen years as an independent insurance agent and consultant specializing in the construction industry.
Allen's insurance education includes completing the Certified Insurance Counselor Program (CIC) and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Program (CPCU), where he earned the very first CPCU "Distinguished Graduate Award" for attaining the highest academic average in the nation.
Allen has conducted numerous seminars on the technical subjects of property and casualty insurance as well as contract bonds. Not only has he taught INS classes, CPCU classes, CIC programs, as well as conducted seminars for various industry (other than insurance) trade associations, he has served as instructor for many seminars for the Independent Insurance Agents Associations and the Professional Insurance Agents Associations. Twice the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Indiana recognized him as the recipient of the J. Edward Hedges Memorial Award as "Insurance Educator of the Year". Allen is a National Faculty Member and Educational Consultant for The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
