ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, March 2, 2015 – InVEST, the insurance industry’s premier classroom-to-career education program, is pleased to announce that David Hale has been appointed to its national board. Hale is president, founder and owner of Hale & Associates, Inc., a Trusted Choice® independent insurance agency in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Slocum, CPCU, CIC, InVEST board chair and president of The Slocum Agency, Inc., an independent agency in Warwick, Rhode Island. “David brings almost 30 years of experience as an independent insurance agent, company executive and association leader to the InVEST leadership. Hale joined an insurance company team in 1986 that would later become Willis of Alaska. He rose through the ranks to president/CEO and when Willis left Alaska in 2007, Hale founded Hale & Associates. He has served as president of the Alaska Independent Agents & Brokers for two separate terms and is the Big “I” national state director from the Last Frontier state. He’s an active business, civic and community leader who was the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, School of Management 2013 Business Leader of the Year. Hale is active in the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce and various trade associations. He also generously gives time and financial support to youth sports, coaches basketball at North Pole High School, co-chairs the School Bond committee, co-chairs the Breast Cancer Detection Center and numerous other projects.
