ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, June 11, 2015 – InVEST, the insurance industry’s premier classroom-to-career education program, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.investprogram.org, and a new interactive eBook. All resources continue to be free.
“InVEST is excited to announce an updated and improved website and new eBook,” says Robert G. Slocum, CPCU, CIC, InVEST board chair and president of The Slocum Agency, Inc., an independent agency in Warwick, Rhode Island. “This new website will help all aspects of InVEST’s mission to improve insurance literacy in students and attract new talent to the industry.”
The new website combines the two former InVEST sites and has three separate sections for InVEST's various audiences: students, teachers and insurance professionals who serve or want to serve as volunteers and speakers. Registered teachers can easily locate tools separated by topic and resources, including PowerPoint presentations, videos, quizzes and tests, lesson plans and class activities.
The user-friendly eBook contains games and videos, making it easy for students without having to carry around another textbook. The eBook also contains study materials and online quizzes that teachers can set up to be automatically scored.
The eBook was produced by New Level Partners, LLC, headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey. The firm won an APEX Award of Excellence in Electronic Media: Education & Training for the InVEST eBook project.
“The InVEST eBook is a flexible and updated tool to accompany a teacher’s lesson plan and provide the student with the information to learn about the many key topics within insurance,” says Nancy Langton, New Level Partners co-founder and president. “Each chapter contains thorough information along with links, interactivity and quizzes.”

Career Paths: In depth career section including salary estimates for various positions in the insurance industry and videos detailing each job.
Personality Profile Test: Students can take a free Caliper test and the results will the results are used to provide an insurance career fit to provide more information about that career and what's needed to enter the field.
Insurance in Real Life: Useful tips and facts regarding the various insurance coverages needed for different life events, such as going to college, buying a first car or starting a first job.
Colleges and Training: An area for students to locate local colleges with insurance degree programs or find information on how to obtain an insurance license.
Scholarships: Information on eligibility and the application process for InVEST scholarships.
Course Materials: Once students are logged in (active InVEST teachers can provide this information to their students), they can access the new interactive eBook directly from a computer or tablet.
As a 501(c)(3) educational trust, InVEST benefits from the support of numerous insurance organizations, hundreds of agencies, brokers and volunteers. The program provides the insurance industry with motivated, talented and intelligent professionals through a support structure of state associations, board members, national staff, teachers and the many industry professionals who work in the field as classroom liaisons.
