 ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 6, 2012 – The InVEST program awarded Bill Daniel, 18 year veteran William R. Boone High School teacher in Orlando, Fla., with the InVEST Teacher of the Year Award. The program is a key driver to attract new talent to the insurance industry. “Great teachers who trail blaze InVEST programs, like Bill Daniel, are the backbone of this wonderful program which is so critical for the success of the industry,” says Heather Minkler, chair of the National InVEST board of directors and CEO of Clark-Mortenson Agency, an independent insurance agency in Keene, N.H. “Bill’s dedication to InVEST has not gone unnoticed for the past 15 years as he has trail blazed the InVEST program at Boone High School. We are honored to present him with this year’s InVEST Program Teacher of the Year award.” Daniel has served as a teacher for more than 20 years, including 18 years on the William R. Boone High School faculty. He has led the InVEST Program at Boone for the past 15 years and is well-known for his enthusiastic approach to the financial literacy program. Daniel also has experience working in hospitality management and as an insurance professional. He holds numerous professional licenses, which he primarily pursued to enhance his ability to teach risk management principles.
