ALEXANDRIA, VA, Sept. 19, 2019— The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I") installed South Carolina's Jon Jensen, Correll Insurance Group, Spartanburg, as 2019-20 Big “I" chairman at the recent Big “I" Fall Leadership Conference in Savannah, Georgia.
Jensen has held numerous positions at the national level for the Big “I," including chairman of InsurPac and the Government Affairs Committee. He is a past recipient of a Big “I" Chairman's Award and the Sidney O. Smith Award, the highest governmental affairs award given by the association. Jensen also currently serves as Chair of the World Federation of Insurance Intermediaries, the international association for insurance agents & brokers.

Jensen says a hallmark of his chairmanship will be promoting a career in the insurance industry. “Being an independent agent or broker is truly a noble career," he states. “We need to keep talking about how we bring more people into our industry, and why they should want to be a part of it. We protect families, homes, businesses and lives, and we make people whole again when catastrophe strikes. A truly rewarding career of helping people."
Bob Fee, Fee Insurance Group, Hutchinson, Kansas, was installed as Big “I" chairman-elect and John Costello, USI Insurance Services, Rochester, New York, became vice chair. In addition, the Big “I" Board elected Lou Moran, Inter-Agency Insurance Service, Knoxville, Tennessee, as the newest at-large member of the Executive Committee.
