Amber Cabral is a business consultant focused on helping organizations, educational institutions and athletics programs create and execute strategies to achieve sustainable leadership and inclusion objectives. She is the founder and principal consultant at Cabral Consulting, LLC, where her programming has touched thousands of leaders, including Fortune 500 executives and educators from leading universities.
Formerly a Senior Strategy Manager on the Global Culture, Diversity and Inclusion team at Walmart Stores, Inc. She has experience developing and executing strategies to embed culture, diversity and inclusion into the employee lifecycle to ensure business relevance and diverse representation. During her tenure with Walmart, Amber also served as a leader in Global Talent Management, where she designed and launched several organizational development resources, revised the Mentor Me and Corporate Intern Program experience, and created customized strategies to achieve attraction and retention objectives.
Previously, Amber spent eight years in health insurance serving in service and support roles of progressive responsibility. During her career at Blue Care Network of Michigan, Cabral was appointed as a lead for corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives and was recognized for supporting the creation and launch of company-wide diversity training. She also gained experience in developing targeted marketing tactics and stimulating business growth through advertising.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Amber currently resides in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She is visibly passionate on the value of improving representation, education, and opportunity for underrepresented, diverse people. In her free time, she writes articles focused on race, culture and working-class life, consumes copious hours of podcasts and audiobooks, and loves to travel.
