LAS VEGAS, Sept. 20 - The Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) today presented its most prestigious annual award to the Young Agents Committee of the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (PIIAI).
The Illinois Young Agents Committee was honored as the Outstanding Young Agents Committee for the first time and received the award at IIABA’s 28th Annual Young Agents Sales & Leadership Conference held in conjunction with the Las Vegas Convention & InfoXchange.
The Outstanding Young Agents Committee award recognizes the outstanding efforts made by a state young agents committee in the areas of political involvement, membership development, communications, state committee project, and the young agents meeting as well as a committee’s promotion of the independent agency system.
“The dedicated young agents in Illinois have marked a milestone for their members and their association this year by making a true impact on the future of the independent agency system,” said IIABA President W. Cloyce Anders. “We are pleased to recognize their remarkable efforts and likewise commend all young agent committees receiving awards today. They should take tremendous pride in their extraordinary contributions and achievements.”
Two runners-up were named in the Outstanding Young Agents Committee Award category: the Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia and the Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana.
Five other national awards of excellence recognizing the leadership of young agents committees in state associations were presented:

For outstanding achievement in Young Agent participation in the legislative process:

For excellent achievement in recruiting and maintaining Young Agent participation in Association activities:

For establishing and maintaining an excellent vehicle of communication for the Young Agents in a state:
