RAIN AND HAIL L.L.C. JOINS TRUSTED CHOICESM
National Crop Insurer Becomes Newest Company Partner in Branding Initiative
ALEXANDRIA, Va., January 22—Rain and Hail L.L.C., a leading national crop insurance underwriter, is the newest company partner of Trusted ChoiceSM—the national branding initiative created for independent agents and brokers that highlights the benefits they offer to consumers.
Rain and Hail, based in Johnston, Iowa, becomes the newest company partner of Trusted ChoiceSM. The brand was created by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America’s (IIABA) and its company partners to educate consumers about independent agencies and brokerages and their pledge to the qualities valued most from an insurance counselor—choice, customization and advocacy. Just two years after its inception, more than 3,500 independent insurance agencies and brokerages in cities and towns throughout the country are participating in the Trusted ChoiceSM consumer branding program.
“Rain and Hail is a dynamic company that genuinely understands the value of independent agents and brokers as well as how best to communicate to consumers the benefits in turning to one for their insurance needs,” says Trusted ChoiceSM Board Chairman Ronald A. Smith, CPCU. “We are extremely pleased that Rain and Hail has joined the branding movement and look forward to a long and successful partnership to build consumer awareness of Trusted ChoiceSM agencies.”
In addition to comprehensive crop hail and multiple-peril protection, Rain and Hail supplies agribusiness insurance for farmers ranging from family-owned operations to the more complex corporate farms. Rain and Hail offers a wide variety of programs through independent agents and brokers to meet a range of risk management needs.
“We understand the valuable service independent agents provide to their agricultural clients. From explaining complicated and ever-changing products to gathering myriad supporting information, there is no substitute for a trusted, local agent,” says Dan DeLano, national marketing manager for Rain and Hail.
Founded in 1919, Rain and Hail is an employee-owned managing general agency comprised of eight U.S. division offices and offices in Canada and Brazil. Its unique perspective on risk management in rural Americaallows Rain and Hail to tailor crop insurance plans with localized impact.
“Rain and Hail is a company dedicated to customizing insurance plans to best meet the unique needs of each policyholder, and that philosophy perfectly coincides with the overall theme of the Trusted ChoiceSM branding initiative,” explains Smith. “Consumers want choice and customization of policies and advocacy support. Trusted ChoiceSM agents, along with companies like Rain and Hail, are dedicated to providing them those attributes.”
