BIG “I” ANNOUNCES OCTOBER DATES
FOR YOUNG AGENT SALES & LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Event to be held with 2004 Big “I” Convention in Orlando
ALEXANDRIA, VA, May 13—The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America’s (the Big “I”) Young Agents Committee will hold its Young Agents Sales & Leadership Conference Oct. 8 through 10 in Orlando, Fla.
The event will be held in conjunction with the 2004 Big “I” Convention at the Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Hotel located on the Disney property.
The Young Agents Sales & Leadership Conference is the industry’s premier event for young agents. The event promotes the building of leadership and sales skills as well as establishing networking contacts with other young agents who comprise the future of the independent agency system. Young producers from across the country will gather for three days of educational training designed to mold the agency system leaders of tomorrow.
Doug J. Nelson, chairman of the Indiana Young Agents and an account executive with New Haven, Ind.-based Oetting Insurance Agency, Inc., was a first-time attendee at last year’s conference in Las Vegas.

The conference will feature sessions designed exclusively for young agents, including sales training and skills sessions. Sessions include a panel of industry leaders who will discuss the outlook for the industry; an Elite Force Sales Training program; a leadership session discussing how to achieve business goals through a client-based focus; and “The Magnificent Seven,” a panel of 2004 Young Agents Committee award honorees revealing insights and accomplishments from their successful state programs. The closing session also offers the opportunity to earn continuing education (CE) credits.
