PANELISTS NAMED FOR YOUNG AGENTS CONFERENCE PRESIDENT’S PANEL IN ORLANDO
Industry Leaders to Address Issues Affecting Future of Independent Agency System
ALEXANDRIA, VA, June 8—A panel of highly respected insurance industry leaders will share with young agents their insights on critical issues affecting the future of the independent agency system during the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America’s (the Big “I”) 29th Annual Young Agents Sales & Leadership Conference in October.
The Young Agents Sales & Leadership Conference, the industry’s premier young agents event, will be held Oct. 8 through 10 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Fla., in conjunction with the Big “I” Convention.
The Young Agents Breakfast and President’s Panel with IIABA Leadership is one of the highlights of the Sales & Leadership Conference. The conference promotes the importance of building leadership skills and establishing networking contacts with young agents who comprise the future of the independent agency system. Young agents from across the country will gather for three days of educational training designed to mold the agency system leaders of tomorrow.
“This event brings together today’s industry leaders with tomorrow’s leaders, giving all of them a terrific opportunity to learn from each other,” says Big “I” President Louise “BeBe” Canter, CPCU, ARM. “I am very excited to have the chance to meet with the industry’s best and brightest to discuss the critical issues facing young agents and the independent agency system."
Joining Canter on the President’s Panel are:
Mike LaRocco, president & COO, Safeco Personal Insurance
Bob Williams, president, Independent Channel, Progressive Insurance
Dan Carmichael, president & CEO, Ohio Casualty Group
Doug Wendt, president, Encompass Insurance and Deerbrook Insurance
The session will be moderated by young agent John Olivieri Jr., CIC, LIA, AAI, a partner at J.K. Olivieri Insurance Agency in Lakeville, Mass.
“This conference helps young agents increase their sales skills and equips them to become the leaders of our industry in the future,” says Canter. “I strongly recommend to young agents everywhere that they attend this very important meeting. It will be worth their while to attend, and it will be important for current industry leaders to hear their ideas as well.”
The Sales & Leadership Conference features sessions designed exclusively for young agents including sales training and skills sessions. The event precedes the Big “I” Convention—the showcase of the Big “I” meeting that features one of the largest exhibit halls in the insurance industry; several prominent guest speakers; a compelling company CEO panel; a wide variety of innovative continuing-education (CE) classes; numerous networking opportunities; and many other exciting events. The Big “I” Convention runs Oct. 9 through 12.
