ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30, 2010 — The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I”) has announced that Randy Lanoix of Donaldsonville, La. has been installed as the newest member of the association’s executive committee.
Lanoix is president of Lanoix Insurance Agency in Lutcher and Brusly, La.
“Randy is a living example of the Trusted Choice® ‘Pledge of Performance’ as he not only continuously rises to the occasion as an industry leader, but more importantly as a committed professional when hurricanes and other disasters have devastated the gulf coast,” says Robert Rusbuldt, Big “I” president & CEO. “The Big ‘I’ is proud to announce that he has joined the executive committee and we look forward to having his insight on our leadership team.”
Lanoix has been active in the independent agency system, serving as president of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Louisiana (IIABL) in 2001 and as the Louisiana representative on the Big “I” national board of directors from January 2005 to September 2010. He recently received the Lou Daniel award, which is the highest honor bestowed by the IIABL. Lanoix is also a past recipient of the “Mr. Chairman” award for his work as Louisiana’s legislative chairman and his work with the Louisiana state legislature.
On the national level, Lanoix has served on the professional liability committee, the Trusted Choice® board of directors, numerous other task forces, and two terms on the government affairs committee, where he was chairman of state government affairs.
Lanoix is a native and lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, La., a town of about 7,500 on the Mississippi River. He has been married to his wife Nell for more than 32 years and they have two boys, Bryan and David, who work in the family agency alongside their dad.
