Industry’s Best Agencies Gather for Special Event

2013 Best Practices agencies and companies preview new resources.

The Big “I” hosted the Best Practices Symposium, in conjunction with the Big “I” Winter Meetings in Orlando Fla., to recognize the Best Practices Agencies and sponsoring companies. The program included a two-day educational conference presented by Reagan Consulting staff. The top-notch educational line-up also included an economic outlook by Anirban Basu from Sage Policy Group, a presentation by Scott Addis from Beyond Insurance and a keynote address by Harold Morrison from Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
 
 
The mission of the Council for Best Practices is to provide information, research, tools and other support to independent agents that enhance the overall quality and excellence of the independent agent brand to the public.
 
Strategic plan in full-swing
Representatives from more than 15 of the Council for Best Practices company partners continued implementation of the three--year strategic plan. Chair Robert Kestenbaum from York International guided the discussions, which included an update on the 2013 research findings provided by Shirley Lukens of Reagan Consulting.
 
 
New Resources on the Horizon
 
Keep an eye out fornew tools from the Best Practices family of products. The Best Practices Council has been busy developing a marketing strategy and content for new refreshed tools, including the customer services guide and a collection of resources designed to help agencies better plan for and implement a successful agency perpetuation plan.
