BEST PRACTICES WORKSHOPS TO FOCUS ON AGENCY GROWTH
Will Emphasize Development, Customer Service Excellence
ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 25, 2005—Developing producers and staff and creating a strong sales and service culture are key factors in increasing agency value. The Best Practices Management Institute, taking place on Monday, Sept. 12, in conjunction with the Big “I” Convention at the Hilton New York in New York City, will examine a variety of ways to grow your agency and create agency value.
The institute’s workshops, being announced today, are designed to foster agency growth and development, customer service excellence, and to highlight essential strategies for owners and managers.
Big “I” CEO Robert A. Rusbuldt will open the Best Practices Management Institute on Sunday, Sept.
11. Joining Rusbuldt will be Bobby Reagan, of Reagan Consulting, speaking to the state of the industry, and author John Boe, speaking on improving sales effectiveness, making a good first impression, building a quick rapport, and more.
“The Best Practices Management Institute features the industry’s most knowledgeable insiders,” says Madelyn Flannagan, vice president of Education and Research for the Big “I”. “These workshops have been carefully structured to give all attendees maximum benefit, focusing on key factors in today’s competitive environment: agency growth and development, customer service excellence, and owners and managers essentials.”
“We’ve worked hard to get the top insurance industry experts,” says Flannagan. “Attendees will benefit immensely from any of these workshops, not only from the tutelage of these experts, but also from spending time with colleagues all focused on the same goal: agency improvement and growth.”
For example, Beyond Satisfaction – Climbing Up to the ‘Loyalty Level’ with speaker JoAnna Brandi, founder of JoAnna Brandi & Company, will teach participants how to create loyal customers, and to create consistently positive customer experiences. The Nuts and Bolts of Making Internal Perpetuation Work, with Tom Doran of Reagan Consulting, focuses on what agencies need to know to successfully perpetuate internally, and will show how some of the best agencies in the country have made internal ownership a reality and how they have used internal ownership as a competitive advantage in attracting the best industry talent available.
Secrets of Hiring and Attracting Top Talent, with speaker Daniel Abramson, founder of StaffDynamics, will give attendees a step by step road map of time-tested best practices and scripts that will maximize productivity and avoid costly hiring blunders in any agency.
Other workshops include:
- Building a Best Practices Foundation
- M&A Marketplace: Overview, Deal Structures, and the Eventual Sale of an Agency
- Executive Compensation and How it Affects Value
- The Ultimate Producer Challenge
These workshops will take place in conjunction with the Big “I” Convention—the premier industry gathering that features one of the largest exhibit halls in the insurance industry; several prominent guest speakers; a compelling company CEO panel; a wide variety of innovative continuing-education (CE) classes; numerous networking opportunities; and many other exciting events.
