Ed Scheinuk most recently served as Area Executive Vice President of Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services in New Orleans, Louisiana where he provided risk management and insurance counsel to regional, national, and international enterprise clients with a focus on organizations with complex risk profiles. Areas of specific proficiency for Ed include risk visualization, risk transfer/insurance program design and implementation, and insurance coverage authorship and interpretation.
Education and Credentials
Ed graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science in 1981. After that, Ed relocated to New York City where he worked as an underwriter at an organization that is now part of Chubb Group and attended The College of Insurance (now part of St. John's University). In 1982, he completed the requirements for and received a Professional Diploma in Risk and Insurance from The College of Insurance. A native New Orleanian, Ed returned to New Orleans in 1982 and commenced serving clients.
Ed was a founder of ConfirmNet Corporation (CertificatesNow.com) and served as a director from 1998 until its 2008 acquisition by Ebix, Inc. He holds multiple US patents related to phishing prevention, email security, and secure information transfer systems.
Ed is a member of the Risk Management Society. He is also certified as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and a member of the CPCU Society.
